On crafting memorable stories only you can tell

“Your story is what you have, what you will always have. It is something to own."
Michelle Obama

Hello, it’s Michael here and I hope all is well with you and yours.

In early 2023, I spent all of ten minutes on X/Twitter/Whatever before the noise became deafening. But my time there wasn’t all bad. In fact, through the platform currently known as Musk, there was one massive ray of light — a fella named Will Myles who was sharing storytelling advice that I absolutely adored.

Once we got on a call, it became abundantly clear that Will — and all of his glorious writing and storytelling nerdery — would become a regular fixture in my life.

And for once, I was right.

The guy knows his stuff. He’s one of the best students of the craft I’ve met. Plus, Will’s cool. He’s not only been instrumental in my work, but we’ve also teamed up to help clients get their books, articles, and social media posts to shine.

Over the last few years, a certain question kept popping up in our inboxes. We both had people wanting to know how we’d used personal stories to stand out from the crowd and carve out full-time writing careers.

So, last October, we decided to team up and I’m thrilled to announce that our new course — Category of None: Crafting Memorable Stories Only You Can Tell — officially goes live this Friday at 8am EST.

There are a lot of writing courses out there, but Will and I wanted to create one at a very accessible price point, with the focus purely on how to better tell your personal stories.

Because, after all, if there is one thing the world needs right now, it’s real and raw accounts of the human experience.

I won’t bog you down too much with the details today. But if you’re looking to improve your skills with two people in the weeds who feed off of helping others to cut through the noise through the power of personal stories, we'd love to have you.

During launch week, we’re running a discounted price of $99.00 before it increases to $198.00.

By coming along for the ride, you'll also get free access to all additions we make to the course going forward as well as an invitation to a Q&A at the end of the month.

I can't thank you enough for the support and I'll catch you Friday.

Onwards.
Michael

PS 2: Over the next week, I'll be sending out a few messages about the course so as many people as possible can get it at the discounted price. If learning to tell personal stories isn't a priority right now, hang tight as we will get back to our regular scheduled programming before you know it.

You're receiving this message because you either signed up on my michaelthompson.art or through one of my articles on Medium, Business Insider, MSN, etc., or you were referred by one of my writer friends on Convertkit.
